ENGIE is an energy player fully committed to the energy revolution. At the beginning of this year, a new organisation was introduced that led to the reinforcement of the geographical Business Units (BU). ENGIE pursues this decentralization to become more agile and closer to its customers. ENGIE aims to be the leader of the energy revolution by offering energy solutions to customers over the whole world.
The former Business Unit Oil, Gas and Power within ENGIE Fabricom was renamed ENGIE Fabricom International and is organised as a coherent unit across national borders. Within this structure, ENGIE Fabricom in Norway will play an important part in providing the Scandinavian market with competence and services from ENGIE Fabricom’s international organisation.
With this new organisation, the company will provide skills and knowledge acquired in Norway to support the international operations, as well as offer a larger selection of services and products to Scandinavian partners. The Norwegian resources are supporting other ENGIE Fabricom units with their projects in The Netherlands and in Belgium. The Norwegian entity also provides skilled construction, engineering and management personnel to clients outside the Norwegian Continental Shelf and in the renewable energy market.
The Norwegian entity will increase its presence within renewable energy, supporting clients and the other ENGIE units in planned developments in onshore wind and power distribution in Norway and the rest of Scandinavia. ENGIE has issued an ITT for the construction of a wind park in Norway and is planning more parks in Scandinavia. ENGIE Fabricom wishes to utilise local competences to support these developments.

To further strengthen its position within this market, while expanding into the market of renewable energy production, the company will leverage its strong experience and excellent HSE culture. ENGIE Fabricom International is amongst other a leader in the market of topsides for Offshore Wind with more than twenty topsides delivered so far. The yard in Hoboken, Belgium has gained an important role as a market leader in this area.
